BIO

Morgan Barbour is an award-winning American actress, art model, writer, photographer, and choreographer currently based in Dublin, Ireland. She got her start as a stage actress and art model, touring the West Coast at age eighteen as a freelance model. She earned her BFA in Theatre Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (2011-2014).

As both a model and photographer she has been published in magazines and photo books throughout the USA, UK, Australia, and continental Europe. Her photography has hung in galleries in Richmond, VA and London, UK. She was voted Photographer of the Year in Richmond in 2015.

 

She has worked with numerous theatre companies throughout the East Coast and is currently on tour throughout the UK performing By the Bi with Blazing Change Players, an educational theatre company she co-founded with American actress Caroline Downs in 2014.

 

Barbour has held a residency with Carpenter Science Theatre (writer and actor), co-taught Violence in Verse: The Art in War (a workshop combining various martial arts practices with heightened text, created and facilitated by David Emerson Toney) at Virginia Commonwealth University, performed and toured (locally) with The Conciliation Project, assistant choreographed It's a Fabulous Life! at Richmond Triangle Players, and performed in and choreographed numerous student productions at Virginia Commonwealth University, including an original work called Concetta, a 30-minute silent piece focused entirely on musicalized movement under the guidance of Patti D'Beck.
